This firefighter saved this dog from her burning home.
He carried her out of the house and into her front yard,
then he returned to fight the fire.
When he finally got done putting the fire out,
he sat down to catch his breath and rest.
A photographer noticed the dog in the yard watching the fireman.
There were other firemen on the scene that day,
but she was watching him.
He saw her walk straight toward the man
and wondered what she was going to do.
As he raised his camera,
she came up to the tired man who had saved her life
and kissed him just as the photographer snapped this photograph.
And people say animals are dumb.

Comment by Karen 08.12.08 @ 10:25 pmMaybe this isn’t true, per Karen’s email, this dog knew the fireman was there to save their home. I think dogs have senses no one will ever understand. We recently lost a family dog, this dog was also my husbands K-9 partner with the Police Department. Robby was unbelievable and his senses were awesome!!! I know Robby would have done the same.
